Trichambaram Temple, Thaliparamba - 24 km
Trichambaram Krishna Temple is a 11th century shrine situated at Trichambaram, just 2 km south of Taliparamba in Kannur District. It is 20 km from Kannur on National Highway 17. The temple enshrines Lord Krishna in his child-form, soon after slaying Kamsa. Krishna temple is of great archeological importance. The sanctum sanctorum is double storied and has a pyramid shaped copper roof with a golden stupa (pinnacle) at the top. The sanctum has beautiful carvings and murals which date back to the 15th and 16th centuries.
Parassinikadavu Temple, Kannur - 20 km
Muthappan Temple, also called Parassinikadavu Muthappan temple is a Hindu temple, located on the banks of the Valapattanam river. Principal deity of the temple is Sree Muthappan, a manifestation of two mythical characters called Thiruvappana and Vellattam. Rituals of the temple is unique in that it does not follow the Satvic Brahminical form of worship, as in other Hindu temples of Kerala. The main mode of worship is the a ritual enactment of both the characters of Muthappan, through a traditional dance known as Muthappan Theyyam. Fish, meat and toddy are the customary offerings to Muthappan.
Snake Park, Parassinikadavu - 19 km
The park houses a variety of snakes and other small animals, including the Spectacled Cobra, King Cobra, Russell's viper, Krait and various pit vipers. There is also a large collection of non-venomous snakes including pythons. The park is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of snakes, many species of which are gradually becoming extinct. In a live show, trained personnel play and 'interact' with a variety of snakes, including cobras and vipers, and try to quell mythical fears and superstitions about snakes. It has also been proposed that a laboratory to extract venom from snakes for purposes of research be set up here.
St. Angelo Fort, Kannur - 2 km
St. Angelo Fort (also known as Kannur Fort or Kannur Kotta) is a fort facing the Arabian Sea, situated 3 km from Kannur. A massive triangular laterite fort, replete with a moat and flanking bastions, the St. Angelo's Fort also called Kannur Fort was constructed by the first Portuguese Viceroy, Don Francesco de Almeida in 1505. In 1663, the Dutch captured the fort from the Portuguese and sold it to Ali Raja of Kannur. In 1790 the British who seized control over the fort, renovated and equipped it to be their most important military station in Malabar.

Vismaya Water Theme Park, Parassinikadavu - 20 km
Vismaya is an amusement water theme park situated near Taliparamba in Kannur, Kerala. The park is developed and run by Malabar Tourism Development Co-operative Limited (MTDC). It is situated near to the famous Muthappan temple in Parassinikadavu. It was officially inaugurated in August 2008 and since then it has become one of the favorite holiday destination in Malabar. The park is completely operated by the rain water collected by the reservoir spread over two acres of land with a capacity of 50 million litres of water.
